Renewed online, sent affidavit/checklist on Monday. Today shows all in place with fingerprints and background check pending. Oh yeah, no renewal necessary.

well it was still early when you looked. i'm guessing they aren't at work til 0800. plus they still need to get their morning coffee so tack on a few more minutes.

Ok, I've finally took the plunge and submitted the paperwork and now I'm at the waiting phase. My concern is that I've not seen any updates on the app, even tho I'm certain they have received the paperwork a week ago,so we wil call this day 4. Comments appreciated, thanks

Ive seen updates every day of the week except Sunday. I have received an update on a Saturday. Sorry but I guess that means you have to stay close to the PC tomorrow... If it does update on a Saturday it will be early in the morning.

Hey Scoots, welcome to the waiting room. My paperwork was delivered on September 2nd and DPS didn't update the web site till the 9th. Sit tight and don't do what I did. I let it drive me crazy and in the end it wasn't worth it. They are taking about 4 - 6 weeks to get you your plastic. If you have a clean BG and there is nothing for them to follow up on it will be closer to 4. If they hav eto look into something it will be closer to 6. Good luck.

I'm afraid all one can do is resign to not having their plastic for a few more weeks and relax (that advice has to work for someone if not me).
Its a shame that once you decide that you need personal protection, you have to wait for two months to be allowed to carry. Be sure to tell any would-be attackers to hold off and check back with you then.

Ok GREAT this morning I got my first update. Dose someone no what the stament (Concealed Handgun License : Print pending completion of application review) means?
Application : Received
Fingerprints : Complete
Affidavits : Received
DL or ID : Valid
Citizenship : No documentation required
Passport photo holder : Received
Photo : Received
Proof of Classroom training : Received
Proof of Proficiency training : Received
Fee : Received
Background Check : Under review
Concealed Handgun License : Print pending completion of application review

This means that printing is being held off until the background checks are complete

it means that DPS is at the ready to print your plastic, but wont print until your background check is complete.

Did you check yesterday for a update. Did it get updated on Saturday morning or Sunday.

Noosh, I checked yesterday at 2230 no update. I checked today a few minutes before I posted here.
