being I came in late and didn't see the unedited version, I will have to take it that you feel wronged in violating the toll.
I did see a further thread where you said something to the extent of they didn't post it was EZTag only.
I know that I drive the Beltway - while not everyday, I have driven on many parts of it that are EZTag only and have always seen at least one sign saying "EZTAG ONLY -- NO CASH"

Either way, good luck with your issue!
Yep and Thanks. They didn't post it was EZTag only. There was no gate (up or down), the toll booth light was off, there was no receptacle for money. I stopped completely inside the booth for a few seconds before a car behind me honked at which point I moved on. Oh, and the sign above the booth said Full Service.

That's the easiest solution if not always the cheapest. https://www.hctra.org/eztagstore/violat ... Display.do" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

As a bit of an afterthought, you may want to do a drive by to that area, with a camera, so you can get pictures of the "no signs", so you can have proof should you decide to sue them if they try to fine you.

My credit card date expired in their records, then I used up the 40 dollar balance they always keep on hand with your tag. So then they started mailing the bills all with a 35 dollar fee on top of the $1.25 toll. It took a week or two before they started arriving, and then it was a storm of them.

I immediately called them to update my credit card information and the nice lady took off all the "fees" and I just paid for the toll I used.

So if you call them and explain your situation, they may take off the fee and you will only owe for the toll.

You could also sign up for the tag at the same time and save on future tolls.

I don't know how things are down there, but the NTTA fees aren't that high. I have a toll tag myself, but my son has gotten an invoice in the mail before for driving up the 121 freeway without a toll tag on his car. I think the invoice was for something like $2.86. If I were you, I'd just pay the bill and not get too worked up about it. It's pretty small potatoes.

But that's just me. Some folks need a little drama in their lives to spice it up. Me, I don't need, like, or want any drama.

There is no bill/invoice, and I doubt there will ever be a bill/invoice.

Unless their software is programmed to detect a car that stops at a full service booth for 5 seconds, but the attendant doesn't do anything (very unlikely, I doubt the systems are tied), then I will never show up on their radar. I honestly think the response I got via e-mail and https://www.hctra.org/eztagstore/violat ... Display.do" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; are fishing attempts. I have no guarantee that they won't slap on some bogus fees, which is why I'm not going to give them my license plate number.

EDIT: I paid them $1.50 at the first toll, and that's all they will get from me. If they wanted my toll for the exit, then they need to get their act together. I'm sure if they had better signage, a message on their website, an e-mail responder who actually read my e-mail, OR a toll booth attendant that didn't skip out on his/her job - this would be a non-issue.

I've rested the matter already. I wish we could lock our own threads.

You can stop reading it at any time but other people are allowed to discuss it with or without you.
