Open invitation to anyone who thinks ammo gets "weak" with age: Come fire a clip (yes, "clip") through my M95/34 Steyr-Mannlicher with ammo made in 1938.

I'd suggest shooting offhand, rather than from the bench.

I've shot a lot of ammo that was at least 45 years old and could discern no problem. This stuff was military "surplus" from the 1940's and 50's. About this guy,.., he was probably playing with it. I don't buy the AD caused by a dropped pistol.

:iagree: Somethings missing from this story. I'm beginning to think its phoney.

I have been to Costco with my "friend" a lot and do not recall seeing a 30.06 sign.

True, Costco stores in Texas do not post 30.06 signs so far as I am aware. But in other states with less stringent "notice" requirements, simple "gunbusters" signs suffice. I've seen copies of correspondence from Costco national headquarters, confirming that they "do not feel that firearms enhance the Costco shopping experience" , and thus concealed carry is not welcome.

I've never been in a Costco store (they don't have one near me), but I think I'd prefer to shop at Sam's, anyway.
