Re: What is a speeding ticket considered?
If this is a for real question. Please slow down. It is VERY dangerous to drive that fast in that zone. 90 even in a 70 is scary. I don't think it will keep you from a CHL, but if this is a regular occurrence (you driving that fast) please take the time and be more responsible. After all you are investigating the ability to carry a weapon around that is designed to do major damage to whatever it is fired at. You have to be very cool headed and responsible in the use of said weapon. I know people can have lead feet and or just not be paying attention. But PLEASE for everyone slow down.

That's a start.fishman wrote:The Annoyed Man wrote:There is literally no justification for driving 95 in a 40 mph zone, other than pure unadulterated stupidity. If it is even close to having been a recently acquired ticket (like in the last year or so), that would be a pretty sure sign that you might not be mature enough for the responsibilities associated with carrying a firearm. Maybe CHL is something you should put on the back burner until you've burned off that excess testosterone.Thats kinda what I was thinking. It's good you want a CHL, but I think you need to learn to protect yourself from yourself first.
I don't mean to sound harsh, but a CHL is for responsible adults. 95 in any speed limit is not responsible - nor is it adult.

so does that mean that 189 in a 65 is bad???
seriously slow down keep the pretty flashing lights from your rearview mirror and your money in your pocket, and your life living as well as all those for your possible victims

If you want to go fast try skydiving
A sky diver in free fall will reach a terminal velocity of 120 mph
then your speed will remain constant. You can speed up by
putting your arms back and going head down if 120 is too slow
for you this will give you 160+
with no chance of getting a ticket
Skydiving is not a basis fro CHL rejection
Go to 12500 ft open at 2500 this will give you a minute of
free fall before opening at 2500 ft
Caviat it takes a few seconds to reach terminal velocity so if
you do the math it may seem off this is due to your acceleration time

That does double if you're not on a Code 3 call. The Annoyed Man wrote:There is literally no justification for driving 95 in a 40 mph zone, other than pure unadulterated stupidity.
I believe the basic political division in this country is not between liberals and conservatives but between those who believe that they should have a say in the personal lives of strangers and those who do not.

Can somebody get a legislator around here to regulate, tax and prosecute this activity!
Maybe set a MINIMUM speed for ticketing.
I've jumped out of perfectly good twice and it is a blast!
