Yeah, interesting. A rifle round is not big enough. Who woulda thunk it?

I actually had a student qualify with a Tec-9 a few months ago. I teased him about it, and he said it was the smallest weapon he owned. It is classified as a pistol, so I saw no reason to not aloow it.

The only problem I had with it is that it does not lock open on empty. So I had him show clear after each string. They are a POJ , but it managed to make it through.

I am confused on why it would be considered unfair. Its not as if it will be more accurate than a LCP, Is it because it's black and scary looking that it shouldn't be allowed? Should we disallow any gun just because some people find it ugly or scary looking? I suppose that an instructor should have the right to ban any gun from the range if they feel it is unsafe. The call to ban this gun seems prejudicial and arbitrary though. If so I hope they start banning Glocks because they are ugly and have been none to scare a few people.

First they banned Tec 9s but I kept quiet because it didn't effect me.
Then they banned assault weapons but I didn't mind I hunt with a shotgun gun.
Then they went after Glocks, but that was OK because I don't like `em any aways The are ugly plasticy.
Then they went after Hi cap mags, That's alright I kept quiet because I have a pretty Kimber Subcompact.
