Bingo. Fly an airline without (first) baggage fees. Fly an airline (or partner) where you have 1337 status. Fly an airline where you have some other relationship that waives baggage fees.

If it was cheap and easy to avoid the fees, there wouldn't be much profit in the airlines having the fees. ;-)
