Talk about a thread going astray.
First a guy gets stabbed and robbed at a McDonalds and next the subject leaps to space pistols. Geeez!

If you are talking about .45 ACP, that would be against the law (of Physics).
A .32 or .380 1911 might be possible, but I read somewhere that the platform doesn't scale down that well.
I have 3 70 year old Llama 380s that might change your mind about that. Direct 3/4 scale 1911 copy, locked breach, lockwork and all.

Also, the Colt Government Model .380...looks and operates almost identical to full size series 70/80 1911's...bought a couple of them when they came out in the 80's.
