I wonder what type of pizza it was? If it was pepperoni, this is ridiculous; if it was "loaded", I can see the reasoning. :biggrinjester:
I graduated HS in 2000, we had a shooting death in the cafeteria of my HS in 1992 so we had random metal detectors on some days. During dove season I had to park across the street so I wouldn't have to go home to get my Winchester on my way to a rice field. :grumble

...when I was in grade school, boys'd bring their uncased Mossberg bolt action shotguns to school on the school bus, leave them in the community coat locker unlocked at the rear of the classroom...then on to another bus after school and home with a friend to hunt...ammo in the lunchbox...have times changed a bit??? those of us who like to read might very much enjoy John Eldredge's Wild at Heart. it goes into detail about how the schools, moms, PTA, and other social "institutions" have done all they can to make boys nice and quiet and polite and docile like girls...and what's happening to our society because of it...it's not a thick book...worth the time and we grandpas, uncles, and fathers need to know what's happening and actively train the boys against it...which will mean RE-training some of our school districts...

I remember in grade school doing a finger painting of a B-17 making a bombing run. I'd probably be in court-ordered counseling today.

Hey, I wonder if there's a pizza joint in the area that could make a pistol shaped pizza. I'd be willing to order a couple to be delivered to the teacher's lounge.

Great idea! But I'd make them suppressed full-auto pizzas! With 200 round 'clips'! :biggrinjester:

Well, when I was in 3rd-6th grades (mid 1960's), we had a Christmas party each year where all the kids drew names to swap gifts on the day we were let out for Xmas vacation. The gifts were limited to a value of $1.00 or less. Boys drew boys names, and girls drew girls names...there was no concern that were promoting any form of gender discrimination. All the boys bought each other a box of .22 long rifles, which cost .79 cents. No one gave a second thought to a roomful of 8 year old boys carrying "live ammunition" around in our pockets, along with at least one pocket knife. (we often carried more than one knife, because we would get them out during recess and make trades and swaps). Looks like we're showing our age...and it's a shame that our experiences date us, and seem so preposterous in light of current school policies....

...we could be trusted to do these things back then because our Moms and Dads, grandparents, teachers, and any other adult in our lives had invested time and effort(Mom invested a LOT of effort on MY backside) to instil in us a good sense of what was right and what was wrong, that our actions affected far more than just us, and to follow rules and respect others...if we could reinstate that part of the equation, in a coupla generations, we could be right back where we were, morals and character-wise with children.....AND grownups...

I have not heard of or read the book, But I will now go see if I can find it in digits for my Ipad, being deployed that’s my only option for now.

But my reply is to that part of your quote up above.
Having had two sons in public school, one just graduating last June,, I can say for sure, without a doubt, if this quiet and polite and docile method of training was employed at the schools my sons went to.. That method and instruction failed completely :biggrinjester: neither are quiet or docile but always polite until it's time not to be.

We also had guns in high school...rifles and shotguns. Sometimes people went to school straight from hunting. We even made gunpowder in chemistry class and set it off during the class --filling the room with black smoke. Besides looking stupid we suffered no other repercussions.

I disagree about the school administrator being a few bricks shy of a load. I doubt he thinks a gun shaped piece of pizza is dangerous, or for that matter, that any of these wacky liberals making or enforcing such policies do. Their behavior is part of a deliberate demonization process --the intention is to make guns seem scary and dangerous to children by association.

I'll buy that some people are doing what you say... but not at the level of individual schools. This particular school administrator is indeed a few bricks shy of a load... either through believing what you say he doesn't, or through falling for the propaganda of those who do.
