It was.

That restaurant and many of the others in the Strand area, including Luigi's, are owned by the Galveston Restaurant Group, which also owns Mario's (there are two Mario's—one at 6th and Seawall and the other on 61st Street at Avenue Q 1/2 on the east side of the street). I think there are a few other gumbo bars and Mario's around the Houston area that they own.

I have eaten dinner several times at the Gumbo Bar in League City [FM 646@I45] and the food is consistantly good. However, the ambience at the Galveston location is far superior to League City.
