If you want change, don't vote for them unless they voted for campus carry. Get your friends to do the same. I think there's 30-40 legislators who voted to allow civil rights at college. The rest didn't.

As an individual who is currently attending an institute of higher learning, I have gotten it down to this: it is LEGAL to have it in your vehicle, but it is a VIOLATION OF POLICY. That means that faculty can be "disciplined" (read as fired) and students can be "disciplined" (read that as booted out of school) if it is found out. As a veteran (though not a combat veteran, I admit) I do find it insulting. I find it insulting that I was good enough to deploy to the sandbox again and again for this nation, and had the responsibility of several large multimillion dollar aircraft in my charge, but if I have a pistol which I am licensed to carry IN MY VEHICLE, I suddenly become UNTRUSTWORTHY by the sheer virtue of this. I don't blame the failure of Campus Carry on the Democrats in this state per se, I expect them ideologues to vote against it...I blame it on CERTAIN Republicans with a severe lack of spinal strength. Soon as somebody puts the least little heat on them, they fold like a card table. It sure burns me up. :mad5

Depends on the school...some its not even a violation of policy to leave weapons in your car.

So from this discussion I could safely extrapolate that carrying at the Andrea Bocelli concert 2-10-12 at the Irwin Center would be verbotten?

There's a link to the map of where it's located. It looks like it's on campus, but i've never been there. If it is on campus, you can have it in your car.....from what i understand.
