Well, let me say that I can't find the .45 winchester or federal ammo at any wally world here in San Antonio. I was wondering is this just my problem or is everyone else have ammo shortage?

If you come to Austin, I have some .40 and .45 listed in the Market. Way below Walmart price. :)

Academy in SA had plenty of ammo. I bought the WWB 100's of 9mm for just .47 more than WallyWorld ( I do in fact go out of my way to avoid WallyWorld ).

My brother said Academy was low on .45 ammo, but that's his problem.

Oddly enough I actually found the 40 S&W 250 count box I was looking for at Walmart this past Sunday

Check out the new Academy on BW8 and Fairmont Parkway. I couldn't find it at my usually spots around Clear Lake and thought I was going to have to go to Carters to pick some up before I went hunting at the end of January. I stopped in that Academy and they had a shelf full of it. They still had some when I was in there about a week ago.

Other than that, you're right. 308's must have been popular this XMAS, because I haven't seen 308 since then.

yeah, I looked there and keep asking about .223, but they always say "2 weeks"... 2 weeks later they say "2 weeks" . i might just start ordering online.
