The Gen 4 has changeable grips and can be modified to accommodate different sized hands. maybe that's what he is talking about.Scott in Houston wrote:I don't get this.

They also claim their .40 cal were Glocks. Well, the Glock 22/23/27 are the same size as their 9mm counterparts the Glock 17/19/26.
The grips are identical.

Most likely the M&P9 which has a much more ergonomic grip than Glock and an overall grip circumference AND backstrap-to-trigger distance that is measurably shorter than Gen 3 or Gen 4 Glocks. So far all my M&Ps have been mechanically just as perfectly reliable as my Glocks. Durability is slightly worse - take down lever is not coated and tends to rust and i had an earlier model with a bad batch of Melinite finish that rusted slightly on slide and barrel after summer IWB carry (but S&W rectified this by sending me brand new slide and barrel)RPB wrote:Wonder which S&W model 9mm the 65% chose versus the Glock 9mm.
S&W are good, but they aren't Glocks ... they'll probably have to clean them every decade or so.

Police Chief: " We need new woepons..'
Major: "No money but Homeland Security has a program."
Police Chief: "What do we have to change for the program...Ok , we can go 9 mm like the feds and the army..."

I guess so, but then he should say that. It was worded to make it appear it was the caliber than changed the grip size. The caliber has nothing to do with it, therefore, poorly written and misleading at best. Ignorant of the fact is more likely though.
