I've become a big fan of PrepperWebsite.com. The layout is clean. It's almost a copy of Drudge, which I love because of the layout and simplicity. The site is chock full of articles on prepping, gardening, etc. New content is added daily.

That's it! Thanks, guys.pbwalker wrote:Estand was spot on. http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/CAMP205-1.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;UpTheIrons wrote:pbwalker,
Some time ago you posted a link to a bathtub liner that's really just a giant collapsible water jug. Do you have that link anywhere handy or remember who made those? I may not be able to set up an IBC tote rig yet, but I sure could use two of those "tub jugs" as a starter/backup.
I've been toying with the idea of a rain catch system - since we didn't have any for so long it wound up on the back burner, but it may well be time to revisit that again.
Sadly, you have to pay tax and their insane shipping charges.
http://www.campingsurvival.com/waterbob.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; has it also...not sure what their shipping charges are. It may come in cheaper in the long run.

If you are in Dallas area, there is a Cheaper Than Dirt store around there somewhere. If they have it in the store, no shipping. If you come to the TSRA meeting/gun show, bonus!pbwalker wrote:Estand was spot on. http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/CAMP205-1.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;UpTheIrons wrote:pbwalker,

I only mention this because hubby and I like to stop by CTD on the same weekend we are in town for the annual meeting.

Re: Be Prepared
I would do that if I were close, but I don't know when I'll be in the DFW area again. I'll let my B-I-L know - maybe he can swing by for me. I can't make the TSRA meeting, either, unfortunately. Thanks for the reminder, though.LikesShinyThings wrote:If you are in Dallas area, there is a Cheaper Than Dirt store around there somewhere. If they have it in the store, no shipping. Re: Be Prepared
I really started prepping about 3 years ago. Canned goods, flour, sugar, rice, beans, personal needs like medicne etc..guns and ammo. I really need that water thingie. I took a steer in for processing today and we've got the garden going. New potatoes in the ground, squash, green beans, peppers and tomatoes to follow soon. Nothing I've bought, or do, has been done in vain. I enjoy it and nothing will go to waste one way or the other.
