And I was really hoping to hear your commentary on a Rocky Horror showing someday... "rlol" :smilelol5:

First thing he said was "you better get behind me, it's dangerous" that was before they gave introduction.

The movie was pretty good. It got better later in the movie, but started off good too.

Two words: Chick Appeal
Considering that my haircut is shorter than yours, Andy, and my wife likes it that way, I'll stick with the chick appeal that I have. :rolll

It might have a lot to do with the fact that the actor had shoulder length hair in "Friday Night Lights" and yes, women seemed to take a liking to his hair.

I'm confused..Are you saying in the book she made it noticable that she liked his hair style?

USA Today gave it two stars, didn't seem to like it. So it must be pretty good.

The green Martians were hairless if I remember the books.

Saw it in 3D XD and it was darn good. I think it stayed pretty true to the first book but it has been a long time since I originally read the book. Overall I would say it was a darn good job and I enjoyed it.

You apparently have the same opinion of movie reviewers as I do. My liking of a movie seems to be generally inverse of professional movie reviews.

The Houston Chronicle doesn't do too bad. However, USA Today is death on any sort of Action/Science Fiction type movie. Rotten Tomatoes gives the best predictions of my reaction to a movie, especially if you look at the audience rating.

John Carter got a 50% favorable rating on Rotten Tomatoes, which is still a Rotten Tomato, on their scale, however the audience gave it a 72% favorable rating which makes it a good movie to go see. As an example Act of Valor was a 28% critics 84% audience movie, or Gost Rider was a 15% critics 35% audience movie. So you would go see Act of Valor at the theatres, maybe wait for Gost Rider to be on Netflix.

All of these movies were two out of five stars on USA Today. Which doesn't tell you much other than they don't like action/science fiction movies, and support gun control.

Fanago, got a "Go" by the fans, which is a 3 out of 4 rating. and "must go" for 3D. I'd go see it again.

I sure will let you guys know.
Edgar Rice Burroughs. He was also the creator of Tarzan. One very good Sci-Fi writer of the early to mid 20th century. He died in 1950.

The movie cost 250 million. Last weekend it came in second and only made 30 million. It did so bad that people feared it would drop Disney's stock.

Seems to me if it is the Princess of Mars. That is what the movie should have been titled. And if the princess was naked in the book, so be it.

Would have given the Disney Princess a whole new look.
