I've carried openly in Las Vegas as well as rural Nevada dozens and dozens of times, never had any trouble. Tourists from blue states (namely California) and other countries often give you double-takes, and I've had a few polite questions over the years, but the Metro PD is quite well-versed with its legality and normality. I say "normality" because it's fairly common to see people OCing in Nevada; when I visited Pahrump and Primm on day trips from Vegas two years ago, I counted about five or six other folks carrying openly in two days. I started doing it whenever I travel there because Nevada only passed any reciprocity in law in 2007, and prior to that, OC was the only option for someone who didn't physically travel to Nevada for their non-rez permit. Even now, Nevada's reciprocity is pretty terrible, and it wasn't helped any when they stopped recognizing Florida and Utah a few years back.

Also, remember as you travel that "concealed" in Nevada states "concealed on the person," and the state's supreme court has ruled that that must be interpreted literally. It's perfectly legal to carry concealed in your car or home as long as it's not physically on your person; glove box, etc., is all good even without a permit.

The only trouble you're sure to have is with casinos. OCing in a casino or casino-rule facility will show you how fast casino security can run from all directions... not everyone on the casino floor is a huge waddling gambler on a hoveround :
