Novaman,
MY wife accepted the idea of geting her CHL. Progress, I guess. I am an official "progressive" CHL promoter

I hope you emphasized not only the need to protect herself, but to also protect your Daughter in her company.

You bet she wants to protect both our kids, Ryan and Yesmeena.
I need to get my wife more trainned with pistols. The few first shots were all misses at 8" target at 7-10 yrd from a PX4 SC. That bugger is tough to shoot with. It has only a 3" barrel. She mentioned that the PX4SC is the largest pistol she is willing to carry.
I thnik for her the new Beretta nano could be idle for her in 9mm. I will be keeping my PX4SC

Maybe a Kimber SOLO or another small type 9mm (EMP)?
If she comes out to Top Gun next Month with you, she can try my EMP 9mm.
Maybe get her going once a week or so to a nice indoor range where she can start at 3 yards. Remember, she does not need a CHL to utilize the MPA and go to the range herself.
Keep her at 3 until ALL of her shots are in the Bullseye. She will get it eventually. Tell her NOT to hold her breath.....but to exhale and then squeeze the trigger.
Then move to 5 yards and do the same thing. Finally out to 7 yards. Then further as appropriate, but anything past 10-15 yards may be very difficult for her with a 3" barrel. She would then probably be able to hit the target at 10-15 yards, but prolly not many Bullseye's.
But who knows.........there are a lot of good female shooters. With a little practice with the right pistol, she could turn out shooting better than you or me!
I would caution on the size thingy.....for carry......
I can see a small 9mm as a MINIMUM. I would not suggest a 380 or less. At some point the size of the bullet DOES matter and for me that point is the 9mm.

Thanks for the good advice. I will take that as a plan

Oops, it is the time to clean up 3 pistols and 2 rifles. Hard and lovely work for the firearms comes with the fun of shooting said firearms.

I need to show this thread to my wife!! She has shot a little with me but she would be more comfortable seeing and being around other women shooting. She's a fantastic shot with my CZ527 in 223 but finds my pistols too much work. Thanks for the pics and hopefully some inspiration.
