There is a difference in prison and professional tats. This guy maybe has a mixture, but none of what I would call high quality even for those that may be from a shop.

You do see a lot more women these days (and men too) that have numerous tattoos. There is one lady in the local Home Depot where I shop that has a large number of tattoos that are visible. Also, if you watch the television show American Pickers, Danielle that runs their store has a lot of well designed body art. If someone with a large amount of very good quality tats approaches me, I will be much less on alert than if a person with gang/prison tats confronts me.

Either way, tats or not, I will always look at the demeanor of the person who is approaching me and what their body language is, if I have time, to asses the possible threat before it reaches me. If I have someone that comes on me quickly without warning, I will be going to level orange no matter until I can verify they are not a threat to me or others.

I think the title to this thread is wrong. Sounds like the victim in the case was anything but weak!

I am happy this turned out the way it did. Would love to see how this thug is treated in prison when the other inmates learn his crime was thwarted by some 'old dude'.

Hair, clothing, and body art are what the person wants them to be—or wanted at some point in his life, in the case of tattoos.

For some people it's a personal idiosyncrasy. For others it's a warning or advertisement that says, "Don't hire me."

Either way, tats or not, I will always look at the demeanor of the person who is approaching me and what their body language is, if I have time, to asses the possible threat ...

Keith, asses are two or more donkeys. It is a good idea to assess the behavior of others.

And plenty of neatly dressed people with good hair have turned out to be rapists and murderers. They are probably the scariest, because they can glide in under your radar.

The word asses is spelled correctly.

The problem with spelling checkers (as I am not the first to point out) is that the bigger the dictionary, the greater the likelihood that misspelled words will not be flagged.

I hate to say it, but Microsoft Office is getting pretty good. Sometimes it can figure out enough of the context to know if you are misusing words like right and write or its and it's.

Maybe there are third-party grammar checkers like that. I haven't looked. If I start screwing up that kind of thing, I need to get a different job.
