I'm glad I'm not the only one irked by the overuse of the word 'awesome'.
I think you will find many of the local (Tarrant County) Italian restaurants are owned and staffed by immigrants from Mediterranean and Baltic countries.
Mama Mia's at Belknap and Riverside is a good example, as is the one at 820 and John T White. I've noticed some of the new employees apparently don't speak English. They seem to have a good support group. Either that or they are endentured

Good thing this didn't happen in California, or she would have said 'This is awesome DUDE'

Trust me it could be much worse. Of course, I speak of the "awesome possum."

Crossfire wrote:matriculated wrote:Speaking of Italian restaurants, why is it that so many of them are owned and run by Albanians? Has anyone else noticed that? I know of the relative geographical proximity between Italy and Albania, but that doesn't explain it. There are other countries just as close. Just wondering out loud here...
Because no one goes out for a nice romantic dinner at an Albanian restaurant.
What do Albanians eat, anyways?
Italians!

Delicious when properly prepared!
