Win 231 is a good powder to use to reload 45 acp, I use 5.1 grains. I use CCI primers.
Reasonable gun control is hitting your target with the first shot.

I use Win231 for just about everything I load. 38, 45, 40, 9mm, and I use Unique for 45 colt. As for a 45 load. I use 5.3gr with a 230gr Berry's copper plated bullet and winchester primers. Very accurate load.
