Conservative Muslim, here, plus NRA member. Not too young, not too old. I would raise my kids to replace me. I am finding it harder when kids are influenced a lot by progressive teachers at public school.

Of course not. Why would I forget that the House completely changed to a Republican majority, and the Senate also now has less Democrats than before the "last election." Thanks for the reminder.

Most older folks that I know (My Mom included) are dyed in the wool democrats that refuse to vote any other way because they still think that the democrats of today are just like FDR and JFK, and refuse to listen to any talk of them being liberal anti-gun elitists.

Makes me sick to my stomach.

Just my .02,

What is really dying off is the use of the work "Caucasian".

In my area (S. Texas), I have noticed it is no longer listed under race. The one I filled out yesterday had the following check-off list:

RACE ( ) Declined
( ) American Indian
( ) African America
( ) Native Pacific Islander
( ) White (Hispanic)
( ) Asian
( ) Other

ETHNICITY ( ) Declined
( ) Hispanic/Latino
( ) Not Hispanic or Latino

LANGUAGE ( ) Spanish
( ) English
( ) Other

This is from a medical doctor. What's up with this???

There are a ton of older Southern Democrats. I grew up in a household of them. They have been Democrats for so long that they don't realize that the DNC bears little to no resemblance to what their parents believed. My grandparents were more of a "Zell Miller" Democrat. My grandfather was a scab at a steel mill in his youth and had little to no use for unions. He was a farmer and and owned a contracting business. He believed in RTKBA and was a firm believer in personal responsibility. He also registered as a Democrat to the day he died. I was 21 before I took enough interest in politics to realize that my beliefs (which are the same as his) weren't reflected by the DNC.

Quote from CNN? Not surprised.

Try "Employed (or looking), Tax-paying, law-abiding". That better describes the group.

Many of those have left the Republican Party.

More accurately, many of us have stood firm while the Republican Party has shifted to the left, supporting more Federal power, more "entitlements" (socialism) and more debt.
