Yes, you can email or fax any of your renewal documents. You can also do this as a new applicant so long as you have a Texas DL or ID card.

Hi there. Currently working through the process to get my initial CHL. I just had my prints & photo done at L-1 this afternoon. The lady there said that since I did the application online & scheduled my L-1 appointment during the same session, my prints & photo would be sent to txdps electronically. They use the barcode/registration number that's issued on the site.

Wonderful! I scanned/PDF'd my renewal and barcode scan and used the submission link on the Texas CHL website. A day later - voila! In process. Very, very nice touch to be able to do everything electronically. :hurry:

I emailed mine off today & got an auto-response from them. We'll see if this works. It was for a new application.
