Kind of confused, I would say. There are some people who do think you cannot choose which authority you carry under when you have multiple options, but it is usually easy to show why you must (a cop with a CHL is the best illustration).apostate wrote:Did he cite the law that he believes says that? But, in a way he is right. You do not need the CHL with you to carry in your car, but the law does require you to present it when stopped and your license is asked for. There is no penalty now for not having it, but that is a recent enough change that I can see officers not knowing it yet.
