It didn't blind her? Was that because she didn't take any pellets to the eyes or because they didn't penetrate and cause damage?
She was caught in the side of the face and neck. Luckily no pellets hit the side of her eye, just embedded in the temple and cheek close to the eye.

I had a patient about 15 years ago that was pulling a rifle from a closet. The rifle was loaded and fired removing this young man’s entire mandible leaving a large hole in his face/neck…. But TAM, that’s the worst I have ever seen.

The burglar was in the hospital with life-threatening injuries to his face.

You know that's going to leave a mark.
His previous victims won't be able to pick him out of a line up now.
