Right about the same time frame I made my worst investment ever. Fannie Mae... wonder what the connection might have been? :biggrinjester:

Oh wait... I did get me a piece of bank of America as it dropped through 27 like a knife cutting through butter. I still remember thinking it just couldn't go any lower. Not bank of America! Yep... Them were the daze!

I heard nothing but great things about this pistol. I heard it eats all types of ammo, and everything you throw at it. It's an extremely durable weapon. For $75 dollars, I'm happy. It's just a real.. ugly.. gun. It stands out like a sore thumb in my gun collection. That's it.

Heartland Patriot wrote:That P95 has been very abused. I own a P89, like the P95 but with an aluminum frame, (and my first pistol) that I simply would never get rid of...it isn't very pretty, that much is true. But that thing eats anything 9mm that I feed it. It doesn't care about ammo brands, or bullet weights, or bullet types, any of that. It just works. Sorry you don't like that P95...maybe it will grow on you.
:iagree: The P89 was also my first gun. Still have it. Will never get rid of it.

It will get a lot prettier if you set it beside a Glock.

He can probably sell it for $80 easy, or $100 if he cleans it up a little.

I would buy it. If it runs reliably I would load it full of talon's and it would never leave my jeep.

Like others have mentioned, toss it in the truck. If she shoots straight and runs right I wouldn't worry about it.

Sounds like a great truck gun if it's as reliable as you say.
I say send the slide (and maybe the barrel) to wmdguns and have them nickel boron coat it for roughly $80 (for the slide alone)... They'll also clean the rust for you for a bit extra. I would rather have that than send it back to Ruger for $70.

some of you guys are too hung up on the BBQ gun vanity thing. A "working gun" just needs to WORK.
