I used to "think" the same thing,,,,,but as soon as the MARSOC is available.....

It's going to be like the colt back in WWII was, loose as hell, and machined to feed and spit lead.

If they actually get a "match grade" 1911 for their $2500 per gun, I'll be hella surprised.
