I followed the rule stated in section i this afternoon at a wedding. No 30.06 was posted. Nobody asked. I didn't tell.

At this point in the thread it still sounds like the LEO doesn't understand that churches are not automatically off limits. It may also be true that the pastor does not understand this and MIGHT not agree with this LEOs policy stance. IF all this is true and the pastor doesn't mind if a CHL carries then the LEO needs to be straightened out. However, if the pastor agrees with this policy I would have to seriously consider finding a new church because even if they do not post a proper 30.06 sign you will receive oral notice.

That sounds good. I can't believe I didn't get that either.

Above is correct. It is a refference to the DEA Agent that was teaching a group of Kids & made the statement, "I am the only one in this room qualified to handle this (held it up for audience to see) Glock 40" w/ the coloquial pronunciation.
In about 10 seconds form the statement he shot himself in the foot w/ his own gun.

So, how many people would leave and join another church if this happened and the pastor upheld the no-carry policy?

Wow a security team at church.

My have things changed since I was a boy. I remember that Catholic churches were always left unlocked day or night so you could come in and pray at any time. I suppose that has probably changed.

Is everyone on the security team armed. I hope so. I would hate to be a member of a security team and be unarmed. That blocking bullets with your body thing probably doesn't make your day.

I just sort of like CHL allowed and encouraged, so if the devil decides to make a visit, they will find they are unwelcome.

I am Catholic, but don't know if my church's doors are open 24/7 or not.

The security team, unless they are license PI's or something like that, cannot be armed.

:iagree: As I recall, they must be licensed security officers to carry and provide security. IMO, another bad decision by the pastor and his LEO security advisor.

"Security Officer's", thanks WildBill. Calling it an actual security team was a bad idea, IMHO. Unless that was the thought all along to keep even them unarmed. Most churches have deacons or some group of people that provide the illusion of security without actually calling them that. I would think that those folks could carry if they wanted to if they had a CHL.

Gun bans are a work of the devil and I can't trust spiritual guidance from anyone who yet believes the father of lies.
I sincerely apologize to anybody I offended by suggesting the Second Amendment also applies to The People who don't work for the government.
