I left Reliant for these folks and they make a donation to a veterans organization when you sign up.

I'm with Tara Energy paying $0.086 cents per KW/h.

My bill was $139 total (including taxes and fees) for last month having used 1,555 KW/h.

Sure beats the $0.19 cents per KW/h I was paying from my old provider.

I get a discounted rate as an employee benefit so I'm not sure if I can post it publicly. My suggestion is to research your choices and read the fine print especially if it's a variable rate, and any fixed or base costs. Pick the one that is best for your usage history, even if it's not DE.

For natgas my base charge is more than my usage charge 9 months out of the year. Maybe more. Thanks Centerpiint. :grumble

Also, put in the promo code "theticket" and you get an extra discount.
That looks to me like the Energy Charge and does not include transmission and delivery...

Take your latest bill... take the total amount in dollars and cents and divide that total by the KwH...
That is your all-inclusive cost...
Correct, that does not include the $3 oncor charge, and taxes. Total Bill/usage = .08870875 So, 8.8 cents per.
That is also on my current rate of 8.3, my renewal rate of 8.1 takes effect next month, so that might drop a few hundredths of a cent :anamatedbanana

Either way, I'm happy.

you know i trust ya'll more than my own "friends". thanks.
Be careful with Ambit. The guy I bought my current house from use them and tried to sell me on them. I don't have any direct experience with them but they are the Amway of electric company providers. Constantly selling your friends and family on your electricity provider is not my idea of fun. Yours may be, but I can't stand pushy sales people!
