What has society come to when our young people think that this type of behavior is acceptable?
Perents aren't teaching their kids how to act right. They are more concerned with being their friend and living their own life.
Statistically, less than 15% of that mob has parents (plural).
Throw in an extreme entitlement mentality, and you have the formula for what we just witnessed.

I watched enough of that video to think "If I walked into a store and saw that, I'd turn around and go back out immediately.
I suspect most of us here would have the same reaction

:iagree: I also agree that the fire escape doors would be my first reaction. But I've also wondered what would happen if you were trapped in a part of the store, unable to get to the exits and became the target for multiple group members. This group seemed more bent on produce destruction but there was at least one case where a guy on a Philly sidewalk was beat up just because he was there. The problem is that you cannot outguess the mob's mentality. A frantic attempt to get away might be perceived by the mob as a show of weakness and create a "blood in the water" situation.

I agree with VMI77 that trying to defend yourself against a group like this would be a no-win scenario. But I don't think I would just lie down and play dead if they did decide to jump me. There are too many kinds in the age group of this mob that have no sense of morality. They might beat you to death just for the fun of it. As evidence, I'd off the the example of the customer who was trampled to death in a Wal-Mart during a Christmas buying frenzy.

What's the old line "There's no such thing as too much ammo" ?

Makes me rethink my carry strategy.

That was probably the majority of the mob. :totap:

Judging from the video, there's a pretty good chance that a few, or more, of these looters don't know both parents.

There's a reason why it's legal to open carry an AR-15 with 30 loaded mags in Texas. That's 931 rounds (including the mag that is in the rifle, and the round in the chamber).

Just sayin.

Better not take it into Walmart, though -- they sell alcohol, and it's not covered by your CHL.

Until recently, I have occasionally carried my LCP when I'm in shorts and tee shirt. No more. This and the recent .380ACP situation (71 year old hero in Florida) has caused me to completely retire my LCP. Henceforth it will only be a backup gun. A pocket gun may be convenient, but self-defense isn't about convenience or comfort.

A Glock 19 with extra mags is sounding pretty good to me.

If I have to go down in that kind of scenario, I hope they find my body beside a big pile of empty brass. :smilelol5:
