I guess being a "gun guy", and a Texan by birth, and growing up in the country, and having many members of my family in the military, I lose sight of the fact that there are many folks out there who DON'T know that much about guns, and take whatever the media says at face value. I guess my Ruger 10/22 is WAY more deadly than the average 10/22 because its got a black synthetic all-weather stock on it...and of course, I must have some nefarious purpose in mind because I bought those evil 25 round magazines for it, too...Divided Attention wrote:I forget sometimes how uninformed some people are and the strength of the media. BTW, thank you for educating your relatives about the REALITY of automatic weapons in the USA. And yes, I have explained that stuff to folks before and had them act very surprised, indeed...they say, "Since 1934, really, that long?" I truly despise the media in this country...
