It took me a week. Checked it yesterday... no change. Waiting to receive all req'd docs.

After 7 weeks of waiting for the background check to complete, the DPS website shows it's complete with manufacturing pending. And that's from the first date the site was updated to reflect my status. I mailed my package on June 20th which is 9 weeks of total wait time.

Ok, not really total time, but waiting for that darned background check has been crazy. It was hard watching people receive plastic who mailed their package around the time, or after, I mailed my package and I'm not even out of background check.

Again, clean record (other than a few ticket in my past), very high security clearance (just reinvestigated last year), and previous CHLs in other states and my background check still took a bit longer then a lot of folks on this forum.

Hopefully the plastic will arrive soon.

Maybe possessing in other states is what's extending your review.

Have only a few moments in between meetings right now. So, someone in the office mentioned "hunting rifle", and I immediately thought "i wonder if my status updated today". Behold.............

PROGRESS.... 2 weeks to the day USPS delivered the packet to Austin address. Now, let's see how long this BG check takes.

Yea... may have been updated yesterday. I just didn't bother to check yesterday (work got in the way ).

I was gonna stick around at IDPA yesterday, but wife wasn't feeling well at home. So, went back home to relieve her from kiddos. Have ya been to that at AR yet?

Not yet, I plan on it , at least to watch.
