How will we know for sure what information they have?
I do know that our local LE has one of the license plate readers and have stopped cars based on outstanding warrants/unpaid traffic tickets tied to an individual’s ownership of a vehicle/plate.

Your CHL is linked to your DL so "running your plates" is not going to show whether the driver has a CHL. When stopped you provide the LEO with your DL & CHL so that when the LEO runs your DL he will not be irritated by your failing to inform of your CHL.

You won't know for sure. Hand your DL and CHL to the LEO when he asks for your ID. Make sure you take care of all of your warrants and pay your tickets and you won't have to worry.

Interesting though, as AEA posted that DPS does show the link between plates and CHL.
Either way, doesn't matter to me. I've had my TX CHL since it first came out (with a year of "ooooops, it expired" in between)...my foolproof method to make sure I don't have a mental lapse is to put my CHL *in front of* my DL in the clear "license/ID window" in my wallet (well, unless I forget/lose my wallet... ). Getting my DL out is a bit of a pain, but that is OK with me. Every interaction I've had when pulled over by LEO has been positive with one or two exceptions, and they weren't bad, just that it was as good of an outcome as I had hoped (you know, no ticket...I can dream though).

Bill,
I was not talking about me. I haven't had a traffic ticket since 1975 and never had any warrants.

I know. I was talking about "you" in a collective sense, not you personally.

We are who we are, and what we are inclined to do is based on that, and our background.. Meaning that there is no wrong answer. Just different answers.
NO LEO’s involved: I see a dude rip the purse off a young lady, I see one knock a kid down grab a lap top, an adult literally beating on a child… I’m going to intervene,, passively,. Minimally actively, or fully committed.. it just depends.
And I could no more stand by and watch a LEO being beat to submission and not try and help, then I could not help in the above situations… Just not in my nature. I don't want a BatMan badge.... But I’m a human, a male, a reasonable fit, fairly well trained HUMAN... and my nature is to help.
I helped a LEO once… LEO was appreciative; the interviewing detective chastised me, and said I was wrong to interfere, and that I should leave police work to the police. I agreed with his last part of the statement, but believe stopping a dude who had just attacked a citizen, and then knocked down and stunned a LEO was neither interfering nor inappropriate. …
I don’t believe my opinion and position is above others or vastly different then many others.
Stay out of the way, let them do the job they signed up for.. But as a human,,, you likley will do what you can to help another

I'm pleased to report so far 100% support from LEO's for responsible people to arm themselves. Because they will already know we are licensed to carry before approaching our vehicle all of them requested just to let them know if you are carrying immediately and where the weapon is.
This prompts the question to myself .......how do LEO's want CHL's to act in other situations? Should we let them know "we got their back" when they are around or just see if we are needed and act?
Lol.. Another thread drift has occurred. The original question was about arbitrarily informing an Officer of the law of our CHL to let them know we have their back. Somehow the thread turned into whether or not we should assist an officer in trouble. My earlier comment was an answer to the original question. My answer to the drift question is, heck yeah I would help an officer in trouble... But only if I believed I could do it without making things worse.
Meanwhile... Lol...... "Back at the ranch".(Roy Rogers) for those that are under fifty. :0)

That pretty much covers it.
