Pistol at least.. Perhaps rifle if I can ID a range to shoot at before hand.
Beware California's "assault weapons" laws if you bring a rifle. You'll be safe it is a bolt rifle, but given what they're going through right now, I wouldn't trifle with an AR15 for love or money, if the trip is only 3 days.
This would be a bolt rifle trip, not a scary black rifle that shoots unlimited large sized missiles automatically from it noise suppressed short barrel. :evil2:
You left off the shoulder thing that goes up.

The real test........... announcing in a California Airport I have fire arm to declare...

Honestly i anticipate it to be a non event, but am prepared with TSA rules, airline rules printed out an award winning smile and the willingness to make it only as painful on them as they make it on me...... but I get paid the same at home as I do politely reminding others constitutionally supported, legal actions or events are not to be trampled upon or impeded for the sake of PC, local GOV wants, local personal bias.

I predict a non event.. :tiphat:

Did not at an eye... Declared, handed over bag, told to listen well incase I was called , but if I waited a few minutes and did not get notified, all was well. I am very early so just stayed at the baggage area for 10 min and then went through security. Not sure how.. But something had me marked as a passenger that had declaimed a weapon....or I was otherwise tracked, pointed out. The "extra
" questions at tsa security made it clear they were making sure I did not have prohibited items before going through the scanner or carry on bag scan... It felt more helpful " sir before you go in, you sure you do not have any prohibitive items." less " gotcha"

Well, first ya gotta move to a free state, like Texas, for example. Then just get yourself to any gun show with some cash. ;-)
