ADDISON, Texas -- A North Texas teenager watched as police maced and arrested his stepfather inside their Dallas home.
Witnesses said the man threatened to blow up an Addison building where his wife worked.
The suspect led police on a chase that ended at his home on Benbrook Drive in Dallas.
"They sprayed mace on him and he couldn't see," said Brandon Reed, 17, the suspect’s stepson.
Police said they chased the suspect, driving a gray car, from his wife's office in Addison to his home in Dallas.
The suspect dropped off his wife, and while the two were arguing, he assaulted her, police said. When a security guard stepped in, he threatened to blow up the building with his AK-47, police said.
Officers chased the suspect to his Dallas home, where he parked in the back and ran into the house, police said. Officers followed him inside and arrested him.
"Hope that doesn't happen to me one day. Make sure I am on the right track, make sure this doesn’t happen to me,� Reed said.
