Civil war is a serious thing. Most people dont realize what the first one did to our nation. I hope we can control ourselves to avoid another one. Regardless of the election results.

I do recognize that BHO is a globalist first, who calls himself an American.
If here were re-elected, he would be capable of doing anything to retain power, including martial law.
So was Judge Ted Poe at times; (now Congressman Ted Poe)... keeping your name in the news pays off at election time for politicians because people forget "why" they know your name, just that it's familiar, and familiar is good.
I don't know that the guy means States will secede really in a "civil War" but possibly
civil unrest ... as the Feds stock up on ammo; and every city P.D. is caling for a budget increase in expectation of more officers and equipment being needed.

It's not needed. Or at least it's not needed for that reason.
In the scenario he imagines, the local police should not interfere with the right of The People to exercise the rights discussed in the Declaration of Independence. Or at least not n their official capacity. As citizens they have the same right as other citizens to defend the constitution against those who make and enforce unconstitutional laws and rules.

It just seems to me that it is getting late in the election season, he doesn't see things going his way and he is feeling out of control. He certainly is out of control. Getting your name in the news can at times be helpful for your political career, but when one guy is talking about 'legitimate' rape and someone else is talking about an attack from the United Nations, well, someone needs to check the water. People sometimes forget why they know a name, but if you get kookie enough, they remember WHY they remember that name.

Unless the precursor to that subversion was, say, the signing of treaties that begin to control, limit, and track the ownership of firearms.
The deference to the U.N. wouldn't come as an overnight, outright, signed declaration of dependence. It would be a progressive erosion of sovereignty until we consult the world before taking any action - with our figurehead rulers still in place. That picture isn't as hard to see.

Any President that hates the US Constitution enough to violate it by treaty would have no moral qualms about sending US troops in blue helmets to murder the modern equivalents of Jefferson, Paine and Washington.

This is my hometown, one of them is blind and the other can see. Guess which is which? The truth can work wonders on a person.
It will be an interesting 76' days left, would you agree?

I agree with a lot of you that said this judge is probably a little nutty and is trying to get attention.
But actually the nuttiest part of this theory or others like it is Obama invoking martial law if he is re-elected. I can see a possibility of him invoking martial law if he loses the election...BUT only if there is some other way to excuse it. That said, though, I seriously doubt our honorable armed forces would follow that order. Now an armed TSA...that's a different matter. I think if at any point by any politician the TSA becomes armed, we will have a pretty radical shift in our country. But maybe that's what people said about the FBI back in the day?
So much of this stuff is just way out there, though. Doesn't hurt to think about even the outlandish possibilities, though, and deconstruct them, as long as you end up sleeping better at night.
