you know the signs are not correct, and we can legally carry into an airport in the non secure areas
but
the city of dallas arrests you, your firearm gets locked away. (I haven't been to love field in a while. Dont they have their own police or do they use dallas police)
you hire a pricey attorney
you get arraigned
eventually its dropped
your firearm comes up missing or severely damaged
you spend more dollars righting a wrong...
bottom line it cost a ton of cash to get out of a situation that you could have prevented.
we should be making it a top story for DPS and get the state boys involved to get it corrected.
just my nickle,
tyler pounds airport has signs to infer that secured areas are off limits for all firearms and have a 30.06 sign in those areas.
this airport has to be one of the best for going through tsa and easy parking, next to huntsville in north alabama. absolutely no stress
Concealed is concealed.

And the City of Dallas' response was that they intend to prosecute anyone carrying concealed, and several of the LEOs there said they would arrest and let the city and attorneys sort it out.
Not a pretty picture. Not just the hassle of being arrested, going through prosecution, legal costs (which would run into the thousands even if charges are dismissed), jail, missing your flight (or missing meeting your elderly mother when she got off the plane), being on the news, trouble with your job ("why didn't you show up Monday morning?"), etc. There are a lot of places I will carry, but an airport terminal isn't one of them. I'm not advising anybody else to do so or not do so; that's just my opinion.

If you're going there to catch a flight, you best leave "Rosco" at home!

(Unless you're sending him via checked baggage, of course.) I'd be interested to know what the sign was below the nonsense 30.05 notice was. Something about transporting...

I carry at DFW nearly every time I'm there picking up or dropping someone off. I've never been searched or asked to be searched or approached by the TSA or police when doing this. I don't go in Love Field's terminal. I haven't been in there since long before 9.11.01. I only dropped off and pick up at the curb there because that is more convenient and easy to do now with mobile phones.
