If you were ever in that predicament, I say your employer is responsible and should be held accountable.
Should the Texas Governor be held accountable for anyone hurt because the State of Texas prohibits CHL in schools?

No, but the Legislature should be. The Governor doesn't make the laws.

I agree with all of the previous statements. However, I work in the secured area of a TSA regulated/controlled airport. There is no way to convince "management" that carrying with my CHL is okay. I have other avenues of defense (heavy objects, solid letter opener, etc...) I just would be much happier carrying concealed. Only designated LEOs are permitted to carry. In an active shooter situation they aren't going to come charging in which means I'm on my own (mostly "passive" types in my office).

I agree that lots of things can be made into self defensive weapons. Spray, even wasp spray, which will squirt ten feet , is good. Break a CD in half. It's jagged edge will cut an attacker. I like the "autographed baseball," too.
Remember 9-11: Folks threw shoes at the attackers.
