Just make sure you are not carrying at a voting location no matter what type of bldg you are in. Could be highly frowned upon.
I once accidently used my CHL as a ID at the airport and they refused it. Too bad the DL and CHL look so much alike.

My issue with both is voter fraud. There is nothing to keep dead people or people that move out of state from voting.
You do know that there is only one case of voter fraud for every 15 million votes, which if all registered voters in this election voted would be a whopping 10 votes coming from voter fraud. It carries way less risk and gives much more benefit to spend the money on commercials to influence voters than to spend it on voter fraud.

Anti Voter-ID article
Of course, if they could detect every occurrence of voter fraud, THEN voter ID wouldn't be required. Just because they only FOUND 1 case in 15 million doesn't mean that's all there is. It just means that's all they could find without requiring ID. In fact, without requiring ID, I question how they managed to find ANY fraud.

I was being facetious in the "modest proposal" sense.

The voter fraud issue has little to do with voter fraud and much to do with party self-interest.

The blue party wants to protect in-person sufferage because the poor and minorities tend to vote D.
The red party wants to protect absentee sufferage because the overseas military tends to vote R.
A pox on both their houses.

It has been said "My dad voted Republican from the day he was old enough to vote until the day we had his funeral; now he votes Democrat."

If they didn't rely so much on voter fraud to affect elections, the fraudsters wouldn't object so much to Voter ID laws.

That is a bunch of garbage.

When Mel Carnahan died during the very tight 2000 election race against John Ashcroft, and was posthumously elected to the Senate(his wife was appointed), there was an interesting pattern noted after the election.

There were literally more votes cast in St Louis than the 2000 US Census showed as the total number of St Louis residents.

"Whopping 10 votes coming from voter fraud"??? Balderdash.

Perhaps they meant electoral college votes. ;-)

What is the fuss over Voter ID? :headscratch Come on, you have to have ID to do just about anything at all. Get a driver's license, get social security, use the services of your area county health services, or even get buried for crying out loud. You can not tell me all the disadvantaged poor democrat voters out there don't already have ID of SOME kind. It is ridiculous to make such a fuss to have to prove you are who you say you are before voting. The ONLY valid reason that makes any sense IS voter fraud and it is suspect that it is one party that objects so strenuously. Me thinks that stench cometh from something rotten. :waiting:

I didn't count these, but I think they add up to more than ten...
