If this is true, it stands in the face of everything our founding fathers fought for.

Took me :15 mins on the second day of early voting at the same location which is about two blocks from home. I'm never waiting to vote on election day again. On another note, I turned my mobile phone off and when I got to my voting station, there was a female HPD officer, next to me, who's phone rang really loudly. I turned to her and said..."what are they gonna do, call the Police?" We had a good laugh and carried on with the voting.philip964 wrote:Houston made Drudge Reports with this story.
I voted Friday afternoon at West Grey along with what it seems was most of Houston. The line was approximately one hour and forty-five minutes when I arrived at 2:30. It only got longer from there on. Everything seemed very much on the up and up, they did not allow cell phones in line, but everyone just sort of ignored the sign and the went ahead texting and etc. So I guess the headline at the West Grey early voting would have read. "Voters illegally use smart phones in line at polling place".
I had never voted early. So I did not know what to expect when it came to ID. I expected to not provide an ID. However, they required an ID. On the list of approved ID's included: CHL, Drivers License, Passport, State issued Picture ID, certified birth certificate or recent utility bill.
I decided to use my Drivers License.
Bashing? Did I miss something?Keith B wrote:Keep this on topic and drop the LEO bashing.
I doubt anything will happen, even if Romney is elected. The current admin let the New PB off from what they did 4 years ago and if that man wins again they may even get cabinet appointments. And if Romney wins he will probably just let it slide and try to move on.mamabearCali wrote:Someone made a crack about LEO's and donuts.....shrug.....
On topic.....why am I not surprised.....and why am I not surprised that this happened in Houston. I imagine it will get a smack down and a "bad bad boy" eventually, but that does not undo what happened. So they are free to continue disobeying the law at the moment.
Yep, if they're called on it, they throw down the "R" card and everyone scatters in fear of being labeled RACIST. Oh, the Horror!mamabearCali wrote:Someone made a crack about LEO's and donuts.....shrug.....

From what I heard on the radio, they were illegally in the polling place.Birdie wrote:Supposedly they were trying to get elderly and disabled people through the line quicker. Which I don't have much of a problem with as long as they were doing it for all the elderly and all the disabled. Don't the rules say they have to be registered in that precinct to be within 300 feet? Wonder if they were?

Of course they were. Only a blatant, outright racist, honky would have ever suspected them of wrongdoing or questioned their motives.WildBill wrote:From what I heard on the radio, they were illegally in the polling place.Birdie wrote:Supposedly they were trying to get elderly and disabled people through the line quicker.
