As am I, and was passing on what I had been told in class.

If all you did was change your address you DO NOT have to send the old one back.
As I stated in a prior post, I called DPS today and was told the same.

I was told differently before. I admit when I'm wrong.

I really didn't mean to cause such an uproar.
No up roar. I got in a hurry & got my tang all tungled up in an earlier post & said a renewal CHL-100 was good for 2 yrs. :banghead: They got me back on track too. Long days & late night makes for incorrect stuff. Did not mean to come across that way.

Same (year and everything). I didn't mail mine in, just destroyed it. Haven't gotten a letter about my license being suspended for following their instructions in the past two years, so I guess I'm okay.

Same here- also in 2010.

As defined in GC 411.184, a "Modified" license is one that allows a license holder to carry a handgun of a different category than the original license. So if you change from NSA to SA (or SA to NSA for that matter), then the original license needs to be returned.

ONLY modified licenses require the old license to be returned.

Change of name, address, etc. are NOT modified licenses.
