If any one wants to sell let me know! I had two but my brother in law was whining so I gave him one. Now I am feeling bare again...

I went to the Pasadena gun show this weekend and wow crazy prices. One guy have 5 lowers and he wanted $500 a peice for them. I told him good luck with that!

I bet he didn't need any luck, just a few fools with money.

I saw a guy pay $899 for 1000 rounds of Tulammo at the Corpus Christi gun show. :headscratch

I started buying parts last month for my first ar build. I bought an upper and an lpk. Thought I would buy the lower and the BCG after christmas but no way Im paying 500 for a stripped lower and who knows how much a BCG is going for. Just when I finally get the wife's approval this happens :cryin . Guess I could sell the parts in a few months for IDK 10x what I payed for.

I have one complete AR coming and have my eyes peeled for lowers. I hate the idea of not getting to build a couple like I've wanted some time down the road. I feel so stupid for having waited but there always some other cost that came up. I'd probably pay a couple hundred per stripped lower.

For once in my life, I'm not on the wrong side of the panic buying frenzy. I've been snagging up mags, lowers, ammo, etc. at a "comical" pace (according to my wife).

I was buying based on Obama being reelected, and am glad I did. For the past year, I've been picking up at least a lower each month. I wanted to start a build after Christmas, but can't find parts anywhere. Luckily, I don't *NEED" to build one as I built a few through the past year.

I've also spent the last year working on an ammo consolidation project...trying to get down to a minimal number of calibers, and it's worked. I still think it is too many, but trust me...it's better than it was! 9mm, .38 Spcl, .40, .45, .223, .270, .30-06, .30-30, 12ga. With the money saved on the lack of 54R, .380, etc., I've been able to concentrate on stocking up on what I had.

I'm sure this will all taper down a little, but I do see some sort of AWB in our future. :banghead: And hey...if I were to lose my job tomorrow, I could sell some lowers to pay for the mortgage and utilities!

Yep, suddenly that HUGE box of .223 brass I bought for $100 doesn't seem so stupid ( I think 2300-2700 ), and that FREE box of .308 brass I have been hording (maybe 2000-2500 once fired), not to mention the 6000 9mm brass and the 6000 .38spcl brass and 1000 .357 mag brass I bought at an estate sale this past year. Now, I feel short on primers though.

Oh crap, I had it all out in the boat and it just rolled over!!!!!!!!

Maybe your brother in law could help pay for it, if you already gave him one.

I should know better, I am a USCG Master . I just don't understand the lack of stability on these little crafts. Oh well, I'll just have to start stocking up again. :coolgleamA:

That would be I am counting on it... Or I may have to reposses my gift!

Also had anpther friend that for the past two years has told me he had no intrest in an AR15 because he didnthave his own land to shoot it on. Now he is asking for my spare mags, ammo and oh if I happen to have a spare lower. Told him I didnt have spare anything. Except .22lr. That I have coming out of my ears! When the boxes are so small and easy to buy but have 550 rounds in them and you buy a couple of boxes a week and all of the sudden a year later I am looking at 24000 rounds of .22lr Guess I had better get a .22lr conversion kit!

Better yet, an M&P 15-22 way more reliable. :tiphat: Sounds like you have a good excuse to buy a new toy. :coolgleamA:

There are so many manufacturers of AR15s and parts. Once demand slows down, suppliers will catch up and prices will be normal. This is not the first time this has happened, and it won't be the last. There won't be any gun control legislation passed at the federal level any time soon. You heard it here first.
