I know what the shoulder thing that goes us is and where it can be found, but unless you have a class 3 your not getting one. The M-60 machine gun has a piece in the butt of the weapon that goes up and over your shoulder so that you can use your body to assist in aiming the weapon and avoiding the upwards drift. the device is used when your using the weapon from a prone or standing supported position. I really don't know of any commercial firearm that has one :coolgleamA:

Maybe I should make up a couple of hundred potato guns with 3' PVC pipe, paint them green with yellow stripes, and then drive over to Austin to turn them in at the next gun buyback. I could turn $4-$5 in pipe and paint into a hundred bucks each!

I have "rock n rolled" with one of those shoulder things that goes up. One of the few times in basic training that I had big grin on my face, and I believe it lasted until my Drill Sargent pointed it out to me. (see signature)

And we also shot the M72 Light Anti-Tank Weapon (LAW), but only the training rounds, little model rockets basically. The M203 Grenade Launcher was also a lot of fun, putting paint rounds through a window at 50 yards, fun.

I'm not at all familiar with what was turned in to gun "buy" program, but it isn't a M72 LAW.

Yes and no…Actually one of them in the article was an M72A2 LAW, the other seen in the posted pic here is an AT-4, BOTH Inert training devices made from a used, one time, one shot no longer useable as a weapon, rocket launcher..

I didn't see the video, just the photo in the OP's link and the photo later posted in the thread. Thanks for the info on the AT-4, I was wondering what it was.

Another buyback event, another missile launcher.

Seattle police worked with Army officials Monday to track down the history of a nonfunctional missile launcher that showed up at a weapons buyback program and determine whether it was legal or possibly stolen from the military.

A man standing outside the event Saturday bought the military weapon for $100 from another person there, according to Detective Mark Jamieson.

Ok, I'll give them that...if 'that' is the shoulder thing that goes up, sure...you can limit it. I'd still pay for the $200 stamp tho! Lol
