I keep telling you. If it isn't legislated he will do it by EO. The ban and registration is going to happen. This is as certain as the sunrise in the morning.

You can bet that once it happens and the resistance starts martial law will be declared. The traitor LEOs are in lock step with the pustule.

I don't want this to happen, but if it does, I know what side I'll be on. As much as my AR is a legitimate hunting weapon, I have better hunting rifles, and I didn't buy it for that. I bought to be part of the well-regulated militia. It's a "militia gun," and everything that implies. I built it for the purpose of defending my country from enemies foreign and domestic. As much as I want to watch my future grandkids grow up, I'd much rather they grow up with the legacy of a patriotic papaw who gave it all for freedom, than for those grankids to be dandled on the knee of an old fart who lives the last 20 years of his life in shame and full of regret for having done nothing in his country's time of need. My eternal destiny is already assured, so I'm good with it. And God willing, we all get to live to see freedom restored.

So I say to King Obama and the commies in Congress, bring it on. I prefer peace, but if you bring me war, I'm ready and at peace with that too.

Talk of militias makes me think of 1776...and as I type this my neighbor is breaking in his new AR15, about a 100 yards behind my house. Bought the day before the big shooting tragedy up north.

The sound of gunfire is music to my ears.

Of course, I have my own pistol range in MY back yard so I can't (and don't care to either) complain about the noise. I live out in the country and ALL my neighbors are gun folk.

Yippee!

I read about a PSYcho in China that recently stole a truck and used it to run over school kids
Another Psycho in China slashed kids in school with a sword

If teachers were armed they could have stopped this crud

Yea make it a felony for me to have my .38 within a five mile radius of a school

Some protection for kids like a Psycho will obey a gun free zone law

Maybe we need a truck free zone law too. Delivery truck stops five miles from a school then carry the goods on your back thru the secure area then load them on another truck 10 miles down the road

Is there a difference between an Execuitive order and a Dictators decree???????? If there is please let me know I'm having trouble with the concept :???:

Not surprising that Bloomberg is involved, but who in their right mind will listen, much less consider, anything Bloomberg has to say?

It does not surprise me that MaoBama continues to say "the majority of the people support gun control". I understand what he means now, he is saying EXACTLY what he means......
The majority that voted for him support it. And who are they? I think most folks here know........
It will help them considerably. They will have a much easier time in their chosen occupations.....get my drift?
<SNIP>
I know a few people who voted for Obama and are gnashing their teeth over the gun control measures he's pushing.

As bad as this irks me, I'd expect nothing less from 'Fearless Leader'. But the thing I find troubling is they're going to use some of the tactics that were used to pass OBlamerCare.
To sell such changes, the White House is developing strategies to work around the National Rifle Association that one source said could include rallying support from Wal-Mart and other gun retailers for measures that would benefit their businesses.
I would hope that the NRA, through their contacts in DC, can find out which 'gun retailers' would join this and call them out. I'd willingly boycott ANY retailer who would back them on this issue. NRA wouldn't need to call a boycott. Simply shine the light of truth on them, I'm sure the people can take it from there. But I'd bet that any business that plays in these reindeer games will want their name hidden and would re-route any support through a third party. I'd like to know which ones support it so I can cease supporting them.

Then again, I can't think of any 'major retailer' that would consider firearms sales a significant portion of their business. And of the five closest Wal Marts to me, none sell firearms at all. None.

They're the slow folks who listened to what he said as he was manipulating them instead of watching what he's done for his entire time in public life.

I a conversation with an acquaintance a few months back...he is a liberal, but an odd one. He voted for O but he has been to Gunsite, he shoots IDPA, and is a generally nice guy. I told him that all it will take is for one major incident, staged or real, then O will push for gun control. He cited to me that same thing, "Obama is pro 2A he doesn't our guns" At any rate the guy thought I was a conspiracy theorist nut job...turns out I was right. A pot by any other name....
Have you had a repeat of the conversation since then? I'd surely like to know what he says now.

I know quite a few folks who complain about the economy, gas prices, food prices, etc., but can't accept that the Obama admin owns at least some of the blame for the continuing economic woes. Some of these folks are also self-proclaimed gun rights supporters that even in light of all the current push for more gun control don't believe anything will happen.

It doesn't matter that Obama himself is calling for extensive gun control, their response is that he is just saying that to deal with the current media panic and show that he's doing something (or they say something in a manner as to not impugn the great Obama in their eyes - some have even repeated the "who really needs an assault rifle" garbage).

It is like they are suffering from battered wives syndrome and just can't give up on Obama even when he has them down on the floor and is kicking them in the teeth. :banghead:

While having a conversation on gun control with some friends who supported President Obama at the polls I was approached by the spouse (Marsha) of a fervent anti-gunner (John). Marsha wanted to know if I or my bride would consider doing a gun familiarization with her or could recommend someone else for the task! John was beside himself! Marsha looked him in the eye and said "It could have been You or Me in the driveway instead of Don!" " I want to be able to protect myself and MY kids!" John was left speechless and I quickly agreed to set up a range day with Marsha.
We did a couple 4 hours of gun safety/manual of arms in their family room the next evening, with John and her 2 children in attendance. They were amazed at the huge amount literature that the NRA had available on gun safety and training. John said that he figured most NRA members couldn't read well enough to digest the material. Marsha ignored him.
Range day was the following Saturday, Marsha was a natural! She fired a variety of pistols, Woodsman to 1911, and fell in love with my Bride's Colt LE 6920! She went out into the store and came back with a P-22 rental and liked it well enough to purchase one and a brick of CCI.
When dropping her off at home I asked if the gun purchase would cause problems with John. Marsha said, "John's attitude on politics and guns has been my attitude on politics and guns since we met at school, not a problem."
I've decided to offer a range day to any of my friends and acquaintances who support the President to see how many I can convert. This works with organizations too. http://www.aclunv.org/blog/aclu_goes_shooting" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

That is awesome Andrew! Congratulations to you and your friends, Marsha and John and their children. You didn't mention the kids' ages, though. Would you mind sharing? Are they planning on teaching them to shoot or at least gun safety?
