Yes - with a Democratically controlled House and Senate. In other words, both parties defied public opinion to pass that Bill. While the distribution of power has changed, the possibility that both parties would again get together to do something that is unpopular still exists, in spite of the deep divides on other issues.

He can issue any EO he wants to they might be overturned but they
will cause a lot of trouble for gun owners in the mean time.

The EO route is a serious danger to gun owners

Remember this: all he needs is one more supreme court
appointment then His EO will be upheld by the courts

After that guns can only be owned and kept by the Military as a collective right
This situation is worse than most Gun Owners Realize

Don't forget the UN Treaty on small arms this can hurt us bad :mad5
