Anybody want to venture a guess whether this legislation would prohibit a FOPA journey through NY State while in possession of banned weapons or mags?

If I'm driving from TX through CA en route to WA with my non-bullet-button AR broken down and locked, is that illegal in CA? Will FOPA cover me (assuming I'm not stopping for anything other than gas, food and restrooms)?

I would say it would NOT prohibit a FOPA journey any more than the existing NY law did for previously banned firearms. It was the intent of the FOPA in the first place to prevent this issue.
