It might be the baggie but some of those cases look messed up.

There is a picture on the counter of a damaged Model 1911 in the Hill Country Sports Shooting Center (Kerrville) where a gun show reload blew up and blew off a handgrip . I was there when it happened but didn't see the lady actually pull the trigger. She got some debris in her eye but I think it was nothing serious. That's a great reason to always use eye protection (and not buy gun show reloads unless it's from somebody you implicitly trust.)

you beat me to it ! lol My quote exactly, My reloading buddies wont even run loads process by others pulling the lever on his press with his setup, unless he was standing over the loader the whole time.

Well, uh, yeah, I have, and used it. Five times. But the parachutes were packed by a US Army parachute rigger who also regularly had to jump with a random parachute he had packed. O'course, I also had a reserve.

So, I guess it would be OK to shoot somebody else's reloads if you could be sure he was shootin' 'em, too?

Absolutely, if he's going out the door beside you and you can swap with him

.38/.357 is one you have to be really careful reloading. It's easy to double or even tripple charge without overflowing the case.

Just an FYI - most folks have to ride their own primary chute down, but the reserve is usually packed by a certified rigger. 'Least it was that way when I was jumping outta perfectly good airplanes.

Personally I would not shoot anything that either I loaded or somebody I personally know and trust loaded. People can claim all new everything but if too much powder is added because they are moving to fast with the sole reason of making a profit and fast production then the chances are much greater that they will not even notice if a double charge was dropped into a case..... I believe that is what happened in this situation....
