Oh, and I guess I should change the subject and say "Texas Get Together" and not leave our southern friends out. If you want to come up, you are more than welcome!!!!

I PM's RXer and he asked me to check on "Bird Fort" Trail just to the Northeast of Elm Forf Shooting range. I'll chase down permission.
What are the general thoughts on a March tailgate type of BBQ and meet up and then blasting some paper zombies etc at Elm fork?
Are you folks into something like this? I'm thinking we all kind of pot luck some side dishes and BBQ.

Depending on my work schedule (self-employed), I'm always up for things like this. I wasn't able to attend the last one AndyC put on. I'll keep watch on the thread...when, where, how, doesn't matter a lot to me.

I'd like to target the middle of March for the festivities to give everyone an opportunity to plan. We really can't plan a day until we find out if either place will allow us to BBQ. I've sent a PM to AndyC and hopefully he'll join in. I hope I didn't step on his toes by suggesting a get together.

IIRC Elm Fork has BBQ areas that are used during events but I don't exactly know how it works for weekends ; I'll give them a call tomorrow around noon once they open and ask then report back here.
Saturdays suit me best as well, but I know Crossfire has been dying to get together with everyone finally - so my general suggestion would be a weekend that she's not teaching.
Thanks Andy. But you are the ole pro so we need your help.
I am connected via PM with Crossfire and will try to work her busy schedule in. the_busy_mom and I are going to stop my and officially meet her very soon. We are only 7 miles from Cabela's.

1. What day is the best day — I am free pretty much any afternoon except Mondays, or any Sunday in which I'm on the schedule for the worship team (usually 1-2 Sundays/month).
2. What time of day is best for you — Afternoons, from lunch on.....except for Saturdays. I can do all day Saturday.
3. What kind of food do you like — There's almost nothing I won't eat.
4. Name your top 3 places you's like — Elm Fork is the best general service range I've been to in DFW, but I'm flexible and willing to meet anywhere.

T_B_M just reminded me that spring break will be in March. Does this affect anyone with travel plans? If so, what week is spring break for you?
How many small / younger kids would we have coming that would need entertainment? I'm thinking about a way to keep them entertained; maybe a bounce house if we have enough folks coming.

A bounce house would keep me entertained as well. At least until I broke it.

The Diva's will have the pavilion completely tied up for Spring Clinic. And yes, they use the entire facility on that day.
