Well I had planned to come but found out last night I will be in prison that weekend. Sorry, I had really looked forward to going.

Get your mind back on track, it a prison ministry. We get to go in about every 2 months or so.

I will attend. Not much of a cook or host, but I am happy to contribute to the cost.

I haven't shot skeet at Elm Fork before. Do we need to bring our own?

I ask this humbly.

I spoke with Sam tonight with Elm Fork Shooting Range.
He had dropped the ball and forgotten about my request.
He did say they had a picnic area at the pistol range.
He is unsure if we can BBQ there
(fire and insurance reasons etc.)
He's going to check.
He has asked me to come out to the range and meet and walk the area.
I'll get all this together.
All i ask is if you say your coming to this even please try to commit to it.
I understand no one can predict unforseen events, but please try to make it.
This can be a great Dallas meet up.

I never know when my wife decides we need to visit the grand kids, but if we come up that weekend and you'll allow OOT (out of towners) I'd like to join. Pending no conflict with the Houston Get Together.

So far there are about 20 folks planning to attend from within TexasCHLForuns.
I've put together many an event such as this and you can usually count on 1/2
attendance from those who register. Not because folks do not want to come but
just because life happens and schedules change.

As this is a shooting event and there are CHL instructors and otherwise Pro CHL
attendee's I suggest we open the event up to others outside TexasCHLForums
to do two three things. Promote CHL classes and interest, promote the website,
and meet new friends that may take classes with instructors that attend.
This also will motivate the sites instructors to bring some folks to the shoot.

I am asking folks not to circle the wagons with the "Let's only have it be us"
mindset. After all most of us do not know one another yet and whether someone
is a forum member or not will make little difference.

What say you? Should we take a poll?

I'm going to the range with my BIL today. I'll ask him if he would like to come. It would give him a chance to try out some other handguns to see if he really wants to get anything else.

Is it only til 6 pm? I have a prior commitment that goes until 3 or 4 on te east side of the metro.
