Not sure whether this helps or hurts us. Jim actually shot faster with the 10 round mags. That suggests the 10 round mags would actually be better for self defense than 15 round mags. Moreover the time differences were so small that one could argue that going to 10 round mags wouldn't make much difference in a self defense situation. And the NY reload scenario suggests that for self defense it is better to have multiple guns rather than reloading. None of that is really in our favor.

On the other hand, it also demonstrates that when it takes the police 3-20 minutes to respond, it won't make much difference if the BG has 30 round, 15 round, 10 round mags or multiple revolvers. The police are going to be too late no matter what.

I think that hurts credibility somewhat.:

The problem with saying, "the 10 round mags would actually be better for self defense than 15 round mags" is that I would rather carry one 15 round magazine than two 10 round magazines. Carrying a gun every day, day in and day out, without ever needing it is a pain; having to carry spare magazines because you are limited to less than what the firearm manufacturer designed the gun to hold is idiotic.

The vast majority of people who carry will never need to use their defensive firearm. I believe what the video demonstrates is that a well prepared attacker would not be hampered by magazine capacity restriction. All the magazine capacity restriction would do is make life more difficult for ordinary people who carry for personal defense, and for the ones who actually need to use their weapon in self defense, well they will be at a disadvantage because if it.
