Your wife was very smart not to roll down the window! I might have, if not for learning a lesson from the woman in the article.
This type of crime is being duplicated in other cities. I have experienced the same woman at different Walmarts in different towns begging for money at least 6 months apart. Apparently, this is a lucrative way to fund drug habits or just not work. Hubby rolled down the window the 2 nd time. The first, we were outside the vehicle when approached. As we drove away, I said I wouldn't give her "gas" money because I could smell the heavy smoke on her from the other side of our vehicle. She needs to prioritize, ciggies versus gas.
