Also remember Coulter pushed Romney this time around and is a big Christie fan. Frankly I don't trust her judgement anymore if I ever did. She is very entertaining though.

The republican party is already dead. It just doesn't know it yet.......immigration policies or not. It has abandoned fiscal rectitude, the party's former banner issue. It really doesn't matter whether or not the republican party's approach to immigration is correct or not, because democrat liars (but I repeat myself) in the major media (but I repeat myself yet again)—the party's propaganda arm—are going to continue to drive home the message that republicanism is A) xenophobia, B) privileged white racism, C) economic classism, D) militaristic jingoism, and on and on and on. AND, it will be successful, because democrat liars (but I repeat myself) ALSO control the public (and a large part of the private) educational system, and their entire educational focus is the production of yet more low-information democrat liars (but I repeat myself) on the voting rolls.stroo wrote:Ann Coulter isn't looking at history. CRepublicans in California really slid off when Republicans took the very anti-immigration approach she now pushes and lost. George Bush took a different approach in Texas and Republicans now control statewide offices. On immigration, Coulter's prescriptions are prescriptions for killing the Republican party.
Official. Will be an amendment to other gun control bills.Beiruty wrote:Is it official, or just a hearsay?
I would be the last to dissagree with you on the power (political) issue...I believe the next mid term election will be more like 2010, in some ways...The democrats need to gain 17 seats to take over the house, and there are indications that is almost an unrealistic expectation, but then again anything might happen...Something will have to upset the applecart (politically) to effect a rejection of the majority the republicans have in the US House of Representatives...chasfm11 wrote:While I agree with you to a point, politics is a game of power. I'm sure that Senator Reid and others would like nothing better than to break the power of the NRA. There are different political realities in 2013 than there were in 1994. If the Dems gain seats in the Senate and take back the House in 2014, there is no question in my mind but that some sort of gun control will be the first thing on the next Legislative session.stevie_d_64 wrote:Some of the old guard that survived the election in 1994, remember the price they paid with the last AWB...
That is a HUGE reminder, that is playing real hard on all of these knuckleheads...
Some will hopefully understand the legislating without virtue, and against unalienable rights is a losing proposition, anyway you look at it...
All that this has done is to have potentially delayed the inevitable unless the low information voter problem is corrected, at least somewhat.

That is her role in this. She isn't going to hold office, but can entertain, inform, enthuse voters. I wish Al Franken had realized this.stroo wrote:Also remember Coulter pushed Romney this time around and is a big Christie fan. Frankly I don't trust her judgement anymore if I ever did. Yes, it was. The FOPA was a very good bill that took a lot of work to get pushed through...and that poor excuse for a Congressman name Hughes put his amendment in at the last minute to try and kill the bill. As irritating as that was, I'm glad they pushed the bill to law anyway because it really made the grabbers mad. You can read the full story of the FOPA at this website: http://www.nraila.org/news-issues/artic ... PA&st=&ps=Beiruty wrote:G26ster wrote:Official.
